It's nice to meet you.

I was born and raised in Defiance, Ohio, where Midwest manners were deeply engrained, everyone knew each other and you could see corn and beans for miles. Out of high school I chased my passion for food and enrolled in culinary school.  I soon found out that my true passion was storytelling. Meeting new people, chasing the story, falling in love with words over and over, learning as a career; I wanted to be a writer, so I did just that.

I've always had an affinity for words. They've always been able to effortlessly play my heartstrings like a harp, serenading me with emotion wherever I go. I am rarely speechless. My personality is loud like my voice. My writing is colorful like my clothes. I love learning and eating and finding a good bargain. I've been steadily gaining experience in covering local dining and the arts, but I'd never say no to an opportunity to expand my knowledge in new areas. If you'd like to know more about me or my writing, please reach out.
